Ms. Patel is a highly experienced family law attorney who is particularly talented as a legal researcher and writer. She helps our clients win their cases by briefing the judges on the law, and crafting novel and technical legal arguments. The past 12 years her practice has been focused on family law matters and she handles a broad range of cases. Previous to that she worked in Immigration Law, a background that gave her a strong foundation for handling litigation matters in family law cases. She has extensive experience handling heavily litigated family law cases, as well as amicable settlement focused cases. She has worked on all issues of family law, including high asset dissolution, business valuations, custody, visitation, support, domestic violence, and cases that involve spouses with immigration and work-visa concerns relevant to their family law proceedings. She is also adept at minimizing conflict, in high-conflict situations. This skill led to her high success rate in working with clients who want to use mediation and uncontested divorces. She graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2008, and obtained her B.A in Criminology, Law and Society, and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine in 2004.
